The Living Fiber: How to Wash and Care for Pure Flax Linen

Unlike synthetic fibers which degrade and fatigue with friction, natural Normandy flax softens and relaxes as its pectin bonds ease. A well-cared-for linen shirt in year five will feel markedly superior to the day it arrived in tissue wrap.

Always wash in tepid water below 30°C using mild neutral detergents free of optical brightening enzymes. Never wring or twist the wet cloth; gently press excess water out between flat towels before allowing it to air-dry in the ambient shade.

We celebrate natural linen rumples as evidence of an unhurried, grounded life. Should you desire a crisp collar for formal engagements, steam lightly while still slightly damp.

"We believe true luxury does not shout its presence from across a room; it makes itself known the moment your fingertips graze the cuff hem."
